Nail Magic was developed in 1960 by a professional manicurist, Mrs. Martha Peterson. It took several years to perfect the formula, as Martha was determined to create a product that would address the nail issues she encountered with her clients. Once she finalized the formula, both she and her clients were thrilled with the results. The product proved so effective that her clients requested to purchase it for personal use between salon visits. This was how Nail Magic was first introduced to the retail market.

A few months later, due to word-of-mouth and the product's growing popularity, Nail Magic was placed in the cosmetic department at Meier and Frank Company department store in Portland, Oregon. Initially, the product sold moderately, as it was not advertised or promoted. However, the dramatic results experienced by users led to rapidly accelerating sales, with new customers learning about the product through word-of-mouth. Additional stores across the country began stocking Nail Magic, and it was immediately accepted and embraced by customers.

In 1976, Ron Haken, an assistant buyer for Meier and Frank Company, discovered Nail Magic. He noticed that this one item was consistently selling out, accounting for a significant percentage of the store's entire cosmetic sales, despite no advertising, sophisticated packaging, or special offers. Recognizing the product's potential, Ron Haken purchased Nail Magic and has owned it ever since.

Six decades later, Nail Magic is still selling the original Hardener & Conditioner worldwide, for one simple reason: IT WORKS! We have grown to offer many other nail care products that provide the same superior results as the original. Nail Magic is now located in Redmond, Oregon, and we love to hear from our customers.
